Summary

The story of the upcoming champion Milio the Gentle Flame has just released. He is a twelve year old warm hearted boy. He grew up in a village outside of Ixaocan due to the dishonor his Great Aunt placed upon their family during the trials of Vidalion. Milio took well to the Axiomata and mastered the Fire Axiom at an incredibly young age. With this mastery, he discovered the unique ability to channel his Inner Flame and produce Soothing Fire. This is a term Milio coined to describe the healing properties of the inner flame. With that, he has now traveled to Ixaocan in an effort to reclaim the honor of his family by joining the ranks of Yun Tal. The Yun Tal is the prestigious ruling caste of Ixtal. Milio is showing great promise and is attracting a lot of attention in Ixaocan. Still, he’s keeping his head down and pushing on with his training.

Story

Before Milio was Born

Several years ago, when Milio was young, he lived with his grandmother, Lupé her twin sister Luné. Both Lupé and Luné were elemental masters of fire and earth. They had planned to join the rank of the prestigious Yun Tal caste by cheating her way through the trials of the Vidalion. The Vidalion is an ancient and powerful artifact at the center of Ixtal. It can transform magic into any material manifestation. Presumably, the Vidalion manifests physical obstacles and entities to challenge contenders during their assessment. At some point, Luné was caught conspiring against the Yun Tal and was imprisoned in Ixtal. Additionally, Milio’s grandmother Lupé was banished from Ixtal.

Milio’s Childhood

When Milio was born he lived in a small village outside Ixtal. His family worked hard to support themselves while living outside the city. It was an adjustment for the adults. Meanwhile Milio was innocent and full of love and laughter. He truly loved living in the village.

During Milio’s early adolescence, his Grandmother, Lupé tried to teach him the Axiomata. Specifically, Earth. The Axiomata is a branch of study specializing in elemental magic. Surprisingly, he showed promise after his brief teachings. To Lupé’s disappointment, Milio showed difficulty grasping the rigidity and rules of the Axiomata. Soon after, Lupé discontinued her lessons with Milio.

Rise to Power

In spite of his lack of teaching, Milio continued to study the Axiomata by himself. He tossed aside the restriction his Grandmother placed upon his teachings. He created his own set of rules and eventually mastered the Fire Axiom. Interestingly, the Fire Axiom was the element his Grandmother specifically did not teach him.

Milio didn’t think the Fire Axiom had to be destructive. Furthermore, the boy saw potential in the fire element.

Inner Flame

One night, Milio was out chasing summer fire flies at night. He stumbled upon an injured hunter from his village. Without a village healer in sight, Milio tried to heal the hunter by placing her hands on the hunter’s stomach. They both felt a familiar and soothing warmth emanate from his abdomen. Not only that, it was as if jungle itself was adding a healing warmth to the two of them. Almost like a cozy campfire.

Fuemigo

With what Milio learned that night, he manifesting something marvelous by focusing on the feelings that night. By focusing on a soothing flame in the palm of his hand, he created a sentient little flame. It danced happily in his hands. He called it a Fuemigo. It was sort of like his personal fire friend. Over time, Milio learned to create and use several Fuemigos simultaneously.

Now, his family was proud of this feat. Except for his Grandmother. She was taken aback from this. Lupé recognized Milio failed to master this magic in a structured and traditional fashion. On top of this, he seemed quite fascinated with fire elemental magic. Again, fire magic is traditionally perceived as destructive in Ixtal.

From Village to Ixaocan

Notwithstanding Lupé’s reservations, she trained and taught Milio everything she knew in order to redeem their family’s past failures with the Yun Tal. He understood that if he could redeem the family by joining the Yun Tal, he could save him family from exile. He felt the pressure. The thought of moving to Ixaocan by himself was scary. At the same time, Milio loved his family more than anything. With that in mind, he listened and trained diligently with Lupé and found the bravery within to try to join the ranks of the renowned Yun Tal.

Leading up to this event, Lupé created a large cream colored backpack that Milio calls his, Furnasita. This is where he keeps his flaming Fuemigos. His family sew some new clothing for his upcoming adventures. Now, it was at the age of twelve, he proudly set off in a smile to Ixaocan with his skills and backpack in hand.

The Journey

Our new adventurer traveled through the jungle during his expedition to Ixtal. He took breaks to camp underneath the stars. Along the way, Milio made friends. During this time, he sent letters home writing about his adventures. When he finally arrived to Ixaocan, he began preparing for his trial against the Vidalion. Amidst his training, he was seen as a potential star around Ixaocan. Even his Great Aunt Luné heard of his presence. He is far from oblivious to this. However, he does not let the attention distract him from redeeming his family’s name.
