Task 1
- Talk to Gramps
Dialogue
Gramps: [player_name]? Where have you been?!
Player: Well, the good news is, the leg you wove for me works great…
Gramps: And the bad news…?
Player: Clover and I went to Ozzy’s party.
Gramps: You did… what?! Where is she?
Player: The portal went crazy at the party.
It swallowed Clover, Ozzy and many more…
Gramps: Ozzy, you poor fool…
Player: So what do we do?
Gramps: We are not doing anything. This is too dangerous.
Player: But that portal used yarn! Aren’t you the yarn expert?!
Gramps: I’m tired of cleaning up Bandle City’s messes.
Now, please go.
Righty: Psst!
Player: …
Righty: Pssssssssst!
Player: I need some time to process this.
Task 2
- Interact with door
Dialogue
What?
Righty: Your badge book is vibrating.
So what’s the ruckus about?
Player: There’s a skill for repairing portals!
Righty: Back when I was Ozzy’s sock, I remember him going on and on about portal yarn.
[Portal Knitting / Skill Tree Tutorial]
Righty: As you can see, your progress in the Skill Tree is blocked by this Badge.
You can’t unlock the Portal Knitting skill until you earn it.
But you can make Badge progress by completing related quests.
When the meter fills up, you’ll get the Badge… and access to new skills.
Righty: So what’s the ruckus about?
Player: There’s a skill for repairing portals!
Righty: Back when I was Ozzy’s sock, I remember him going on and on about portal yarn.
Maybe that can help activate a portal.
Player: So… where do we start?
Task 3
- Clean up Branches from Backpack
Dialogue
Righty: Are those… snailcats?
Player: I think so, yeah.
Righty: Well, good luck with your backpack house, buddy.
It’s 800 years of bad luck if you touch them without their consent.
Player: Don’t be so negative. I’m sure we can reach some kind of agreement.
Um, hi?
Snailcat: What are you doing to our home?
Player: I kind of need this backpack to save my friend…
Snailcat: I’m afraid we can’t let you do that.
Player: Any suggestions…?
Snailcat: We were considering moving, but our house hunting is very… slow.
Let’s make a deal. If you find us a better place, you can take this one.
We need something picturesque with a place for our nest.
Player: I think I know just the place!
Task 4
- Go to Luminous Overlook
Dialogue
Righty: Now this spot should satisfy even the most demanding snailcat.
Task 5
- Return to Snailcats
Dialogue
Player: I think I’ve found a spot for your nest!
Snailcats: Should we trust this stranger?
Player: Come on! I know we’ve had our ups and downs…
You literally were taking our home away from us when we met.
Player: Right…
Snailcat: And it never really got any better.
Player: But now it surely will!
I found a spot that has both a view and a cozy place for a nest.
Snailcat: That does sound nice.
We’ll go check it out. Thanks.
Task 6
- Clean Up Branches from Backpack
Task 7
- Interact with Outdoor Building
Dialogue
Righty: Why’d you stop?
Player: There’s a giant Button missing here.
I guess it’s time to visit Frankle.
Task 8
- Talk to Frankle
Dialogue
[Player approaches Corki]
Corki: Any news?
Player: I’m trying to fix Ozzy’s backpack.
Corki: Then I bet you’re gonna need all the portal yarn you can get.
Player: Right. The famous portal yarn. Guess I should go find a working portal…
Corki: What the blazes? No! Just throw a party and collect yordles’ emotions!
Didn’t Gramps teach you that?
Player: You passed my test! I totally knew all that.
Corki: Ha-ha, you sly dog! Well played.
Player: Did Ozzy keep a lot of portal yarn?
Corki: I’ve heard rumors that he kept some, yeah.
Nothing specific though.
Player: Hmm… This could come in handy…
[Player talks to Frankle]
Player: Hey, Frankle!
Can I ask my good collector pal a favor?
Frankle: I sure hope you’re about to buy something.
Do you still need delivery, or is pickup now an option?
Since we’re not, you know, talking in Gramps’s house as usual.
Player: I can pick it up, sure.
Frankle: It’s a sale!
Player: I need some crafting material for a knitter’s backpack.
Frankle: It’s all yours if you have enough Stars.
Player: I’ve got to check out my Stars situation with Gramps first.
Frankle: I’ll be waiting for those Stars right here.
Task 9
- Talk to Gramps
Dialogue
Player: Gramps. I know you’re still angry at me…
But I really need to borrow some Stars.
Gramps: Not angry, [Player_Name]. Just… disappointed.
Gramps: Here are some Stars.
Player: Thanks, Gramps. But I kind of need… more?
Gramps: Then you should try inviting some yordles over and feeding them.
You know, being a Hearty Host.
There are other benefits to hosting a Food Stand, you know.
Not only will yordles give you Stars, but they’ll be happier and more relaxed in the future.
Try talking to Winstock about making some food.
Player: Thanks for the advice…
